Ingredients
3 to 4 pounds chicken wings
1 pint shishito peppers
½ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
½ cup San J Tamari Soy Sauce - gluten free
1 tablespoon Sun Luck sesame oil - gluten free
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 inch fresh ginger, minced or grated
splash of olive oil
salt and pepper
juice of 1 lime
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 jalapeno pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl combine the soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and cilantro. Season the chicken with salt and pepper then add the soy sauce mixture.
- Gently coat the chicken and cover with plastic wrap.
- Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to overnight.
- Heat a cast iron pan to medium high heat. Roast the shishito peppers until charred and blistered. Set aside.
- Heat a large cast iron pan pan to medium high heat then add the vegetable oil. Remove chicken from the marinade.
- Cook the chicken about 10 to 12 minutes or until cooked through.
- Serve with peppers, fresh cilantro and jalapenos. Yum!
