Simplest Fried Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

chicken drumsticks, thighs with skin or chicken breast with skin
iodized salt or regular salt
canola oil

Instructions

  1. Chill the chicken in the fridge for 1 hour or so.
  2. Heat enough oil in a deep fryer or deep pan to 300 to 325 degrees F.
  3. Lightly sprinkle salt on the chicken on all sides.
  4. Fry in batches for 14 to 18 minutes depending on how many chicken pieces you are cooking at a time until crispy.
  5. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels. So delicious! No fancy breading needed.
